Course Overview
Applying for any residency program can be a daunting prospect for any dental student. There are so many unknowns and uncertainties that you can suffer the dreaded “paralysis from analysis” syndrome.

The list goes on and on and on. This CE course is designed to give you strategies for applying that may help answer these questions.
Course includes meeting with Program Director of CTOR Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics Program and Associate Dean of Students Affairs. In addition, you will have an opportunity to tour the CTOR Academy facilities and learn more about our courses.

Let’s face it, almost all dental specialty residency programs are highly competitive. Not surprisingly, there are common strategies that everyone can use when considering how to optimize their residency applications. So, if you are applying to almost any dental specialty program*, we have advice for you.
*If you are applying to an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency, please seek information from your school’s OMFS faculty on the best strategies to apply.

Course Director
Dr. Jeanne M. Nervina has over 20 years of experience in dental academia. She spent the first 8 of those years as the Pre-Doctoral Orthodontics Program Director at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where she advised hundreds of dental students, dental graduates who did not match, and dental practitioners who were looking for a career change on best practices for applying to Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics programs. Dr. Nervina is currently the Program Director of the Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at CTOR Academy in Hoboken, New Jersey.
